ABOUT THE KEYNOTE

Iris Berkeley

Iris Berkeley got her own start on the air at the University of Colorado Boulder’s student radio station — at the time called KUCB — back in 1998 as an undergraduate journalism and music major. After a 25-year career spanning music criticism, news editorial, marketing, multimedia production, and user experience, she returned to her alma mater and her first radio love as KVCU Radio 1190’s general manager in 2024.

Iris continues to take to the airwaves both on Radio 1190 and as producer of worldwide weekly syndicated music discovery program Modern Jetset, as well as DJing at events along Denver’s Front Range and volunteering for various community media projects — plus playing records at home for her two extremely musically literate cats.
